“ AQU equipped me well to face the challenges & better serve my community”

Hi! On my first day at Al-Quds University I had no idea that my journey, which started there, will take me places I only dreamed of before. My name is Sinan AbuShanab and I joined Al-Quds University firstly as a student in 2005 at the Information Technology Department, later in 2010 I joined the staff of the University as a member of the Public Relations Department.
Through the vibrant student life at AQU I got to visit Istanbul for the first time, a city where an Architect I was named after once built some of the most famous monuments in Turkey. Student exchanges at Al-Quds later took me to the United States, I spent two semesters there between George Town University and New York University, these world renowned educational institutions. As part of the staff development programs here at AQU, I was awarded a scholarship to continue my studies in the United Kingdom where I got my first Masters degree in Development Studies. Al-Quds University's giving didn't stop there, through its global partnerships, the university then sent me to Berlin to get another Masters in Intellectual Encounters of the Islamicate world.
I am not the same person today as the day I first stepped into AQU, today I am a young Palestinian man that is more equipped to serve my country and the University that I fell in love with.
Thank you now and forever AQU.
